Unless your richReviewed by Joseph David Lopez, 2009-11-28
Unless you're rich don't bother buying this book. It only tells you things as if 1) you're a superstar or 2)rich. Its main focus is on how to put up big shows and which if you are already there (superstar) you don't need the book and even if you are rich you wont be putting up shows in arenas without being a superstar. I don't mean superstar as in someone who is "big" famous wise but has a great fan base.
Food for thoughtReviewed by Glyn J. Maclean, 2009-07-07
It is important to understand that I ordered this book from
Christchurch in New Zealand. Amazon handled the shipping as if I
were living in an apartment just down the street from a local book
store. In fact the local national retail book chain offered a
delivery time substantially longer than Amazon. So the purchase
experience from Amazon from order to delivery was superb.
The book itself has good information on the business of concert
promotion and touring. That said, in a modern age I would value a
resource kit (CD Rom) with templates for contracts and
organisational documents. I highly recommend this book to anyone
exploring the business of putting on concerts.
Concert promotionReviewed by Mark A. Tomlinson, 2008-05-15
I am everything for the band and I find the information in this book very valuable depending on the role I play each day, either managing my self or preparing a set for a show, great material, I carry this book with me everyday hoping to have it all memorized.
